I've never experienced a creeping bite like this. It is unique as Red Virginia's go very little bite, cool burning, nice complex earthy flavor, with a little something "floral" on the retrohale. I tried this fresh out of the tin in 2017 and really thought it was a little bit "boring" but pulling it back out of the cellar I found it has really aged well and now has a combination of sweetness and depth that would make we swear there was something else in there. I am biased toward Virgina and this one is maybe the best going. Plucked straight from Carolina soil, these top-tier Virginias were all grown, thrashed, blended, pressed, and then lovingly sliced and tinned right here in the heart of old tobacco country.
